Sale of duplicate electronic gadgets at busy centres

Vijayawada: Sale of fake electronic gadgets by North Indians and Gujaratis in the city become viral in social media. P Govind, an auto driver, uploaded a video on Whatsapp and narrated how he was cheated by a Gujarati who sold him a fake power bank. 

He said while he was driving his auto near Rama Theater a person approached him and showed him power banks of reputed mobile companies like Samsung, Oppo and other brands. Each power bank was 32,000 mah capacity which would cost Rs 2, 000 each. Govind said the Gujarati person was selling it for just Rs 400. Seeing the attractive price, Govind purchased one power bank from that North Indian person. After reaching home he was shocked to know that it was hardly working for five minutes.

Govind with some repair knowledge opened the power bank set. To his strange surprise, he found that there was an old 750 mah battery, which would cost maximum of Rs 50. He said there were some iron pieces inside the power bank to compensate the weight of the power bank. 

Govind left a message on the Whatsapp group saying that there were many such people at busy streets and signal points trying to cheat people. He appealed to innocent people not to fall pray to cheats. He humbly requested all the people not to encourage such fraudsters by buying goods from them.
