Badeti Trust gives Rs 25 lakh bonus to jute mill workers

Eluru: Civil Supplies Minister and West Godavari In-charge Prattipati Pulla Rao, Labour Minister Pitani Satyanarayana and Excise Minister K S Jawahar distributed Rs 25 lakh bonus amount to Kothuru Jute Mill workers at TDP district office here on Thursday. The Bonus amount was sanctioned by Badeti Sriharirao Charitable Trust. The Ministers disbursed the amount to 1,600 workers.

Speaking on the occasion, the Ministers appreciated Eluru MLA Badeti Kota Rama Rao for giving the bonus to Kothuru Hessian Jute Mill workers and stated that it shows his sympathy for the workers. They recalled that Badeti family had a reputation among the Eluru city people for over three generations. The Ministers also appreciated the efforts of MLA Badeti to sanction houses to the people of various sections.

The MLA said the Badeti Sriharirao Charitable Trust decided to extend financial assistance to economically backward students to continue their studies. Rajya Sabha member Thota Sitaramalakshmi, AMC chairman Pujari Niranjan, TNTUC leader Kolapalli Uma Shankar and others participated.
