Targets set for completion of smart city works

Kakinada: Kakinada Smart City Corporation Limited (KSCCL) board of directors has directed the corporation officials to complete various works as directed by the board without furthur delay, at its meeting held here on Friday.

The meeting asked for completion of the smart street work from Sarpvaram to Bhanugjudi junction by June 2018.  Other works with time limit within brackets are as follows. Completion of Pratap Nagar birdge, STP at Yetomoga, Vivekananda Park, swimming pool for upcoming summer camp, completion of e-rikshaw charging  stations (May 2018); quality restoration of roads during laying of OFC

and installation of smart elements at various places, design of innovative smart police, evaluation of designs received under design competitions relating to the development of Godavari Kalakshetra, Science Centre, Convertible Stadium, canal front development etc.  (end of 2022) apart from completion of Kakinada Smart City Mission Document at the earliest.

Collector Karthikeya Misra presided over the board meeting and directors Sunkara Pavani, K Kanna Babu, K Siva Parvathi, G Nagaraju, VS Krishna Kumar and Dr JVR Murthi were present.

Smart City chief executive officer Sujay Arun and other officials S Bharat and T Subba Rao were present.
