SC Commission to study Dalit problems

Rajamahendravaram: National SC Commission member K Ramulu has said that a study will be conducted on the problems of Dalits, who are facing some problems in some parts of the two states.

Speaking to reporters at Roads and Buildings guest house here on Sunday, he said after studying the report steps would be taken to address them in the two states. The government should provide basic facilities in the villages using SC Sub-plan funds and there was a dire need of it.

“It is the duty of the state governments to resolve the problems of SCs without any delay and the Commission is also putting its efforts in this regard and directing the officials to attend complaints relating to SCs immediately,” he added.

He informed that he came to Rajamahendravaram as part of 110th birthday celebrations of Babu Jagjivan Ram. Earlier, he received petitions from SCs. SC leaders KN Kumar, TBR Prasad, K Chiranjeevi and others met him.
