Speed up road-widening works, officials told

Guntur: GMC Commissioner Sirkesh B Lathkar inspected sanitation in Lalapuram, GT Road, Venkataramana Colony here on Sunday. He enquired about road-widening works and instructed officials to speed up the works and remove encroachments. 

He directed them to give TDR bonds to the land owners who gave their lands for the road-widening.He inspected the drain works and asked the officials to maintain quality in the works. He instructed them to see that drain water flow smoothly.

Later, he also inspected sanitation in Venkataramana Colony and clear the garbage piled up in the dustbins. He requested the public not to dump the garbage on the roads. He instructed them to remove silt from the drains. 

He ordered them to shift the garbage to dumping yard. He stressed on need to create awareness to dump the garbage in the dustbins instead of on the roads.
