Handloom & Handicraft Fun Fair Expo opens

Vijayawada: A 75-day-long Handloom and Handicraft Fun Fair Exhibition near Punnami Ghat at Bhavanipuram here was opened for visitors from Monday. The special attraction of the exhibition was the entrance, which was designed in the shape of United States presidential palace White House, said the organiser, M Raja Reddy.

He said that the exhibition would be open for the denizens from Monday. He said that they had been organising the exhibition at Vijayawada for the past nine years and there was an overwhelming response from the denizens.

He said that artists had struggled a month to carve the entrance in the shape of White House, which was 65 feet in height and 200 feet in breadth.
He said that a Selfi-point was arranged at the entrance for the visitors to take pictures of the entrance. He said that the 75-day expo would be an eye treat for the visitors with good climate in the twilight.

He said that more than 40 stalls were arranged. Amusement rides, giant wheel, celembo, dragon train, titanic train, toro toro, cup and sauser and many more were arranged to recreate both children and elders who visit the exhibition. Food courts, clothings, Kalamkari products and other clothing material from across India were available. The visitors can throng in from 4 pm to 10 pm, said Raja Reddy.
