Meeting over SCS tomorrow
Rajamahendravaram: Rashtriya Praja Congress (RPC) founder president Meda Srinivas has said that a mammoth meeting will be held in the city on April 20, under the aegis of Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samithi.
The meeting was aimed at telling the facts about Special Category Status (SCS) and also to mount pressure on Central government.
Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that SCS was very much needed for the development of the state.
The state government was mum over this issue for four years and now asking for the SCS because of mounting pressure from all quarters on the government. He appealed to the people to participate in the meeting in huge number.
CPI city secretary Nalla Rama Rao said CPI state secretary K Rama Krishna, PCC president Raghuveera Reddy, Chalasani Srinivas and many others would participate in the meeting. CPI would fight against Central government until it accords SCS to the state, he added.
