Electoral Literacy Clubs to spread significance of vote

Kovvuru: Assistant Returning Officer and Mandal Tahsildar K Vijaya Kumar directed the electioneering officials to conduct awareness meetings to explain people on the importance of exercising their franchise.

A review meeting with Tahsildars, Deputy Tahsildars, Revenue Inspectors and teachers was conducted to form an Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) at Kovvuru RDO office on Friday. Vijaya Kumar said the ELCs need to be established at polling booth-level, in high schools and colleges to spread the importance of casting vote.  

Nidadavole Mandal Tahsildar M Srinivasa Rao, Tanuku Tahsildar PVV  Satyavathi and others attended the meeting.
