Vacant land owners warned over mosquito breeding

Guntur: GMC Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar instructed the vacant land owners in Guntur city to keep clean their vacant lands. Due to rains, the rain water will stagnate in the vacant lands and turn them into breeding centers for mosquitoes. 

Taking this problem into consideration, the civic chief urged the land owners to clean their vacant lands in the city. He warned that if they did not clean the vacant lands, the GMC would impose penalty on the vacant lands as per the Municipal Corporation Act and issue notices to the land owners to pay vacant land tax and penalty. 

He directed the officials to set up notice boards in the vacant lands in this regard. He urged the land owners to clean their vacant lands and cooperate with the GMC officials. He instructed the revenue officials to issue notices to the vacant land owners.
