Pensions, ration cards for the eligible: Deputy Chief Minister

Kakinada: Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa made it clear on the inaugural day of the 5th phase of Janma Bhoomi programme at Divili village on Tuesday that all eligible people would be sanctioned pensions and ration cards by the government.

Participating as chief guest at the Janmabhoomi programme, he said people aged 65 years and above were eligible to claim pension along with people certified to be disabled by the concerned medical officials and widows. Rajappa further informed that people with house sites would be sanctioned houses.

He also announced that their government would construct 19 lakh houses in the state in the next two years. A new scheme would be launched in March to gift Rs 35,000 for the SC and BC marriages. “The clearance of all public grievances in the previous four phases of Janmabhoomi, resulted in a decrease of registered grievances in the fifth phase,” he added.

He participated in the Janmabhoomi programme and inaugurated Panchayat Building, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 15 lakh. Traditional art forms were performed in the Janmabhoomi-Maa Vuru programme at Divili and Tirupati villages.
