Drinking water to all villages: Lokesh

Guntur: Minister for Panchayat Raj  and IT Nara Lokesh  said  that  the government  is giving star  points  to all the villages  based  on infrastructure  and development.  He addressed Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme at Attota village in Kollipara mandal in Guntur district on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, he said 80 per cent of toilets construction was completed in the villages and assured that protected drinking water  would be supplied  to the villages soon. 

He said though the government  was facing financial crunch,  it is fulfilling the poll promises by implementing the welfare schemes  and taking up development  works. 

The aim  of the Janmabhoomi  programme is to solve the problems  of the people and appealed the people to participate in the programme. Minister for Civil Supplies Prathipati Pulla Rao said the government  will sanction ration cards, pensions   and  houses  to all eligible.  

Later, Lokesh  distributed  ration  cards,  pension sanctioning  letters  to  the  beneficiaries. MLA Alapati  Rajendra Prasad,  MLC  Ramakrishna, Collector Kona  Sasidhar were  present.
