South Central Railway GM inspects rail over-bridge site
Nidadavole (West Godavari): South Central Railway general manager Vinod Kumar Yadav said that the technical permission to construct the rail over-bridge (ROB) in Nidadavole town would be sanctioned soon.
The GM, along with Rajamhendravaram MP Maganti Murali Mohan inspected the railway gate area where the proposed ROB would be constructed on Friday afternoon. MP Murali Mohan said that all permissions would be given by March 31 and stone would be laid to the bridge. He said that Rs.18 crores will be spent for the land acquisition.
Nidadavole MLA Burugupalli Sesha Rao said for many years the people were facing problem at the railway gate and the Centre had finally approved the bridge at a cost of Rs 201 crores in Nidadavole on December 22.
He said out of it, half amount would be borne by the Centre and the remaining by the state government. The General Manager visited the Nidadavole Railway station and inspected all wings. He also watched an exhibition arranged by Railways on proposed ROB.
