Students told to focus on skills acquisition
Anantapur: AP State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) Director Dr K Lakshminarayana on Saturday inspected the 14 laboratories set up by the Siemen’s Centre of Excellence set up in the JNTU-A campus.
He called upon students to achieve skill development apart from academics and maintained that the Skill Development Centre has been developed by the state government with the help of the Centre of the Excellence. He appreciated over 1,750 students (49 batches) received training through the college. The government aspires that students should grow as industrialists by achieving skill development.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Srinivasa Kumar and Registrar Prof Krishnayya explained the visiting dignitary about each of the 14 labs in the mechanical engineering department. College principal Prof K Prahlada Rao, head of the Mechanical Engineering department Durga Prasad and others were present.
