Durga flyover will be completed by June: Collector
Vijayawada: District Collector B Lakshmikantham said that a high-level committee will decide whether to allow two-wheelers to ply from Kummaripalem to Durga Ghat on Durga temple flyover.
He said that from Kummaripalem to Toll Gate, there are 13 spans and spine work to be done and till now five spans work was completed and eight span work has to be completed. He said that the contractors were ordered to complete the work by February 15.
He further stated that by June, the flyover work would be completed. To allow two-wheelers to ply through the flyover construction area, a high-level committee would take a decision keeping in view of the public safety. He said that the local people have been extending their cooperation for the construction work and nets are being used for the safety of the people and allow two-wheelers, he added.
Police Joint Commissioner BV Ramana Rao, Deputy Commissioner of Police T Kanti Rana, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation Commissioner J Nivas, R and B SE John Moses were present at the flyover construction site.
