TD govt striving for people’s welfare, says TG Venkatesh

Kurnool: Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh said that Telugu Desam government was the only government which strives for the welfare of the people. Participating in the ‘Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru’ programme organised at the 42, 43 and 44th divisions here on Wednesday, TG Venkatesh said that the Janmabhoomi programme was a platform where people could openly express their grievances and seek redressal.

He made an appeal to people to bring their issues to the notice of the officials concerned, who in turn would redress their grievances. Kurnool MLA SV Mohan Reddy, who was present on the occasion, said that the state government was determined to provide houses to the poor in the state.

With this objective, the state government has sanctioned 10,000 houses to Kurnool, he added and said the houses were being constructed with all the facilities. The MLA stated all the parks in the city limits are being developed so that the people could enjoy themselves.

Furthermore, he said that the officials would plant tree saplings and urged the people to water them regularly. Municipal Corporation Commissioner CB Harinath Reddy said that people should not throw garbage on the roads. 

They should handover the waste to municipal staff. He suggested the people not to use plastic as it would be harmful to the environment. Later, the MP and others distributed Chandranna Sankranti Kanuka, ration cards and pensions to beneficiaries and received the representations from people.
