Srikakulam will achieve all-round growth

Srikakulam: Srikakulam district will achieve all-round development, said Government Whip K Ravi Kumar, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Ch Dhanalaxmi and MP K Rammohan Naidu. They were present at a review meeting on Janmabhoomi–Maa Vuru programme here on Friday. 

They said that Vamsadhara project would be completed in 2018 and linkage of Nagavali and Vamsadhara rivers are expected to finish by end of the year. Despite financial crunch, government is concentrating on irrigation projects, tourism activities and welfare programmes, they elaborated.

They suggested to officials to resolve pleas received from the people during the Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru programmes across the district from January 2 to 11. MLAs G Laxmidevi, B Ramanamurthy also spoke. District Collector K Dhananjaya Reddy said that they received 33,000 pleas from the public during the Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru programmes and would redress those grievances after verification. 

Sitampeta ITDA project officer  L Shivasankar, additional joint collector P Rajanikantha Rao,  Srikakulam, Palakonda and Tekkali RDOs B Dayanidhi, R Gunnayya, M Venkateswar Rao and district officers participated. Officers, staff and public representatives were felicitated for their dedicated services during the Janmabhoomi–Maa Vooru programmes.
