AP Chief Minister prays for peace, prosperity in state at Tirumala
Tirupati: Extending the people of the state Makara Sankranti wishes, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that he prayed Lord Venkateswara for peace and prosperity in the state.
He offered prayers in Tirumala temple along with his family on the auspicious Bhogi on Sunday. Earlier, the Chief Minister and his entourage entered Tirumala shrine through Vaikuntham Queue Complex. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal and JEO KS Sreenivasa Raju welcomed the Chief Minister at Mahadwaram. After darshan of Lord, Naidu along with his son and minister N Lokesh, Hindupuram MLA N Balakrishna were presented with seshavastram, theertha prasadams and laminated photo of Lord. Later speaking to media outside the temple, the Chief Minister said the unique power of Lord Venkateswara is attracting scores of devotees every day to Tirumala.
Lauding the TTD for making elaborate arrangements for the benefit of common devotees, Naidu wished all the devotees on the occasion of Makara Sankranti. Stating that Lord Venkateswara is his family deity, Naidu prayed the god of seven hills to bestow good living standards to everyone.
Naidu disclosed that he prayed god for the state to flourish well on all fronts without droughts and famine. Naidu said that Polavaram project should be completed paving the way for interlinking of rivers. Capital Amaravati city project should be completed, and youth should get plenty of employment opportunities, Naidu hoped. During his visit Chief Minister’s grandson Devansh became a big attraction. Naidu’s wife Bhuvaneswari, Lokesh and his wife Brahmani, actor Nara Rohith, Balakrishna and his wife Vasundhara worshipped the Lord.
Retractable roof
TTD EO AK Singhal explained to Naidu on the retractable roof set up inside Tirumala temple between dhwaja stambham and Padikavali to shield pilgrims from inclement weather conditions. Collector PS Pradyumna, DIG J Prabhakar Rao, Urban SP Abhishek Mohanty, VGOs Ravindra Reddy and Sada Lakshmi were present.
