Crime Against Women At Alarming In Amaravathi
Crime against women and property related crime reached at alarming level in the Andhra Pradesh new capital Amaravathi covering Krishna and Guntur districts. Crime against women rate has been increased to 31 per cent in Guntur, 29 per cent in Krishna and 26.2 per cent in West Godavari district.
District Superintendent of Police submitted reports on crime rate in thier respective districts to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at Collectors conference in Amaravathi.
The official reports said crime against women has been increased between 15 and 20 per cent in Prakasham, East Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Nellore, Kurnool Kadapa and Anantapur districts. The CM's native district Chittoor registered lowest number crime rates in the state.
Krishna district stood number one in property related crime ever since land rates skyrocketed. More than 2,500 cases were reported in the district alone. Land encroachments has been a big worring factor in the district. Visakhapatnam, East Godavari and Guntur districts occupied second, third and fourth positions in property related crime in the state.
