More focus on pilgrim initiatives: TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal

Tirupati: The prime focus of TTD is on introducing more and more transparent pilgrim initiatives, asserted TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal. After hoisting the national flag and inspecting the guard of honour, in his Republic Day address at the parade grounds behind TTD Administrative Building here on Friday, the EO recalled the sacrifices and dedication of great leaders, who achieved freedom and Republican status to India with their tireless efforts.

“Following their footsteps, we should offer the best possible services to our pilgrims and make them feel comfortable which our prime responsibility is,” he stated, adding the successful conduct of Brahmotsavams, Vaikunta Ekadasi during the last year and the very recent Ratha Saptami implies the dedicated team work of strong workforce.

Anil Kumar said that he is anticipating the same spirit and enthusiasm from employees in future too. The EO mentioned that the TTD’s top priority is to provide hassle free darshan for common devotees. 

He intimated that CCTV cameras will be installed in Tirumala soon and also Slotted Sarvabhupala Darshan (SSD) counters to be set up in Tirumala and Tirupati on or before February second week. The EO mentioned that the TTD will construct new Venkateswara Swamy temples in Rampachodavaram, Parvathipuram, Seethampeta, and Visakhapatnam at a cost of Rs 18 crore.

Bhajana mandirs will be constructed at a cost of Rs 40 crore in SC, ST and BC colonies,” EO said. Singhal stated that the TTD would develop temple city as a medical hub. The march by the security sleuths of TTD provided a patriotic atmosphere followed by the dance performances by the students of various TTD-run schools for some famous patriotic songs. 

Later, the EO along with JEOs KS Srinivasa Raju, P Bhaskar and CVSO A Ravikrishna offered medals to 15 officers and 121 employees of TTD for their best services. The certificate of appreciation has been given away to another 74 employees concerned with e-office.
