Saraswathi Yagam held in Vedic varsity

Tirupati: Saraswathi Yagam was performed with religious fervour in SV Vedic University in Tirupati on Sunday on the auspicious day of Bhishma Ekadasi. Under the supervision of Agnihotra Srinivasacharyulu, the Yagam took place in Sri Mahavishnu Yagashala wherein the Lord was decorated in the form of Saraswathi Devi-the Goddess of Wisdom. After performing Viswaksena puja, punyahavachanam, Saraswathi kankana puja, Kumbharadhana, Agnipratista, Saraswathi Mantram was recited 108 times. Yagam was completed with Purnahuti. 

Students from various schools across the temple city took part in this homam. TTD CVSO A Ravikrishna, Registrar Viswanatha, Dean Subramanya Sharma, Finance Officer Sreenivasa Naik, PRO T Brahmacharyulu and others were present.

 Later Saraswathi kankanams were distributed to all the students. The priests blessed the students that with the divine grace of Saraswathi Devi, the goddess of education, all the students writing their examinations during 2018 should fare well and achieve good results.
