Group of Ministers decides to bring down movie ticket prices

Amaravati: The Group of Ministers (GoM) meeting has decided to bring down movie ticket prices for the benefit of general public. The GoM under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu has decided to conduct a meeting with producers, distributors and exhibitors on February 14 to discuss on prices of cinema tickets. 

The meeting was conducted at the Secretariat on Wednesday in which Home Minister N Chinarajappa, R&B Minister Ch Ayyannapatrudu and SC Welfare Minister N Ananda Babu participated.

The Ministers also took a decision to implement online ticketing system to ensure transparency in collection of taxes on cinema tickets. Revenue department Special Chief Secretary D Sambasiva Rao, Home Department secretary Anuradha and AP State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation Managing Director S Venkateswara Rao were present.
