State has already submitted DPRs to Centre: Narayana
Amaravati: Reacting to the comments made by BJP leader and Minister for Endowments P Manikyala Rao, TDP leader and Minister for Urban Development P Narayana stated that they have already submitted the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) to the Central government on Amaravati capital city construction.
Responding to a question raised by reporters at the Secretariat after the State Cabinet meeting on Friday, Narayana explained that the State government submitted to Centre DPR of Amaravati multiple times and also provided other information that they requested for time to time.
He further explained that the first DPR of the entire Amaravati city was submitted with an estimated expenditure of around Rs 5 lakh crore. The specific DPR for construction of government complexes with an estimated amount of about Rs 5 thousand crore was submitted to the Central government, he pointed out.
However, the Centre agreed to provide only Rs 2,500 crore. But the State government requested it to provide the remaining balance as hand holding, he explained.
