DTCP approval must for layouts: Somisetty Venkateswarlu

Kurnool: Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu said on Saturday that DTCP approval must for construction of houses, apartments and for layouts. Several real estate ventures have come up after obtaining gram panchayat approvals, he stated.
 
The KUDA chief said that those layouts which don’t have DTCP approval would be cancelled. He also said that several commercial establishments have occupied the cellars and carrying out business. As a result, vehicles are being parked on the road with which the common people are facing traffic snarls. 

He instructed the owners of shopping malls, lodges, private hospitals, hotels and other commercial establishments to arrange parking lots for the vehicles. He warned of serious action if traffic jams are occurring on busy roads. 

Speaking to the media here, Somisetty has stated several unauthorised layouts have sprang up at Nandyal. He mentioned that the municipal staff had demolished several non-approved layouts and unofficial structures in the city limits during a special drive
conducted ten days ago.
