Vizianagaram: With indications coming from various political parties regarding early polls for both Assembly and Lok Sabha, all parties are gearing up their cadre and strengthening their parties. As part of it, the TDP and YSRCP are searching for new faces with clean image.

As per information, both are contacting Dr D V G Sankara Rao, who worked as member of 13th Lok Sabha during 1999-2004 on behalf of Telugu Desam from Parvathipuram constituency, which was reserved for Scheduled Tribes.

But later he quit the politics and settled as professor at Maharaja Institute of Medical Sciences. He has name and fame as honest and hard worker in public. After 15 years, the parties are knocking his doors and offering either MLA or MP ticket for him.

TDP and YSRCP have assured him to offer Salur Assembly constituency ticket in next elections. YSRCP is planning to field Salur MLA P Rajanna Dora as MP candidate from Araku and to field DVG Sankara Rao as its MLA candidate from Salur. At the same time, TDP is also planning to make DVG as its candidate from Salur.

Speaking to The Hans India, Dr Sankara Rao said “Yes, I have been getting invitations from both TDP and YSRCP. But I have not yet decided. Right now, I am happy with my profession as doctor and serving people. Now I will discuss with my friends and well-wishers to decide my destiny.”
