Skill development training for SVMC faculty begins

Tirupati: Skill development classes for Sri Venkateswara Medical College (SVMC) faculty began here on Tuesday. Medical Council of India, New Delhi has aimed at improving the quality of medical training by imparting training to the teachers and sensitising them about new concepts in teaching and assessment methods.

Senior faculty at Christian Medical College, Vellore Dr Prince Christopher participated in the programme and enlightened the faculty of SVMC on various aspects of teaching medical education, organising group discussions, research methods etc. Principal Dr NV Ramanaiah also participated and told the faculty that the training programme will be held in phased manner.
