Vignan spreads awareness on Swachh Survekshan

Visakhapatnam: Vignan’s Institute of Information Technology, Duvvada, organised an awareness programme on Wednesday on Swachh Survekshan 2018. The programme is aimed at collecting the citizens’ feedback on Swachh Survekshan in the city. 

Participating in the programme Commissioner of GVMC M Hari Narayanan explained about the Swachh Survekshan and how the corporation is taking up various initiatives on waste management.

The corporation is working  round-the-clock to make the city clean, the Commissioner said. On the occasion, a few videos were shown to the students on ‘Clean Vizag’. This awareness programme was followed by inauguration of ‘e-Waste Dustbin’ at Aryabhatta Centre for Computing-VIIT, inauguration of ‘On-site Composting Unit’ at Vignan’s Sarojini Naidu Hostel, along with plantation programme.

CEO of Vignan K Pavan Krishna, former vice-chancellor Prof V Balamohan Das, Vice-Chancellor of Centurion University GSN Raju and several other speakers were present.
