BJP will face same fate as Congress in AP: Prathipati

Eluru : Civil Supplies Minister and in-charge for West Godavari Prathipati Pulla Rao warned the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre that if the Centre did not give statement on the financial allocations to Andhra Pradesh, the BJP has to face the situation that Congress had faced in the State after bifurcation.

He came to Eluru to participate in the District Telugu Desam Party (TDP) General Body meeting held on Thursday.  Addressing media on the occasion, the Minister has said that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is discussing with the Centre to get funds from the Centre for the state.

He said that the Chief Minister is trying to get Special Package instead of Special Status. There is no difference between the Special Status and the Special Assistance, he said.  

The Minister lambasted the Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy stating that Jagan is playing a global drama. ``Jagan is trying to join hands with the BJP to create hurdles for the implementation of development activities.

He said that all the profits that come through special status will also come through special assistance. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will fight to get special assistance to the state through the recommendations of Niti Aayog,’’ he said.

He  criticises that there is no use to the people with the Padayatra of Jagan.  He said that no person with criminal history would be allowed to contest even as a ward member. People will not vote in support of Jagan who attend CBI court every Friday, he said. YSRCP MP VIjayasai Reddy has discussions with Narendra Modi.  

He regretted that the main opposition was creating hurdles for state Development.  He alleged that Jagan is creating hurdles for the construction of Polavaram project and the State Capital Amaravati. Referring to the comments on TDP by BJP MLC Somu Veerraju, the Minister said that there is no need to care those comments.  

He said that every rupee spent on Polavaram project was uploaded online. MLA Thota Trimurthulu, AP Handicrafts Development Corporation “Chairman Pali Prasad, Polavaram MLA Modiam Srinivas participated in the meeting.
