Rupees 856 crore for Kurnool development: MLA S V Mohan Reddy
Kurnool: City MLA S V Mohan Reddy said the government has sanctioned Rs 876 crore for Kurnool development. Addressing the media at SV Regency conference hall here on Saturday, the MLA said with the sanctioned amount will be used for laying of roads, drains construction, road dividers, water supply, parks development with playing infrastructure and arranging central lightning system.
Unable to digest the rapid developments that are taking place in Kurnool, the Opposition party leaders are making false statements to divert the attention of people, the MLA said and added the efforts of Opposition leaders would not reap any benefit to them.
Mohan Reddy said despite revenue deficit, the government stood by its words made during the first Independence Day celebrations in Kurnool. Feared with rapid developments and to malign the TDP, the Opposition leaders are spreading negative message among people.
Former Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy said YSRCP chief Jaganmohan Reddy is making senseless promises to AP people. “Why Jagan could not do these promises in 2014 election as he is making now,” he asked. Jagan knows well that he cannot fulfil them if made and his dream of becoming Chief Minister will remain as a dream forever, he added.
Kodumur MLA Mani Gandhi and Kurnool Urban Development Authority (KUDA) Chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu said around 10,000 houses are being constructed and if necessary the government is ready to sanction another 15,000 houses. Naidu is a dynamic leader and developments are only possible during TDP rule, they stated.
