5,000 AP migrants to return from Kuwait
Amaravati: Minister for Law and Justice Kollu Ravindra said that around 5,000 Andhra migrants would return from Kuwait under the amnesty granted by the Kuwait government.
Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Monday, the Minister said that the people who were in Kuwait without authorisation would come to their native places with the help of AP government. The Minister said that he along with officials would go to Kuwait and stay there for three days to extend necessary help to the Andhra people.
He said most of the people who come from Kuwait belong to Kadapa, East and West Godavari and Chittoor districts. He said the State government has written a letter to External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj requesting for Centre’s help to bring Andhra people to their native places but there was no response so far. “As just three days are left for amnesty, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed us to leave for Kuwait immediately to help Andhra People,” he said.
