Appointment DPC: Non-Gazetted Executive Officers Association
Vijayawada: Endowment department Non-Gazetted Executive Officers Association (NGEOA) on Monday expressed its dissatisfaction over the inordinate delay in appointing Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for the benefit of employees.
Addressing media, association working president J Vinod Kumar alleged the State government is neglecting promotions of Grade-1,2,3 executive officers despite orders given by the court in 2010 for the appointment of DPC. He said around 150 executive officers working in various temples of the state are facing severe hardship due to not getting promotions.
He added the state government is replacing the vacant posts with the officials of revenue department. He said several representations were submitted to the endowments commissioner over the DPC but there was no response yet, he alleged.
Vinod Kumar demanded the Chief Minister and endowments minister P Manikyala Rao should intervene in the issue and direct commissioner to appoint DPC for the benefit of EOs, he said. The association would launch relay hunger strike in the city shortly if the government fails to respond to their demands, he warned.
