Amaravati: Ahead of the Budget Session of the Assembly beginning from March 5, the AP state Cabinet will be meeting at Velagapudi on Wednesday which is expected to discuss in what form the proposed meeting with the stake-holders could be held on taking forward the struggle for a fair deal for AP.

After Naidu had appeared contrite over settling for special package and is now making a resolve to fight for special category status or anything that is equal to it, the cabinet could discuss the proposal to have SCS as the theme for the stake-holders’ meeting.

Naidu has already said he was averse to calling an all-party meeting. The other issues that might come up for discussion in the stake-holders’ meeting could be the no-trust move which the YSRC said it would introduce in Parliament.

In all likelihood, the stake-holders meeting would be held after Feb 23. Chandrababu Naidu would also take stock of the budget proposals to be presented in the Assembly on March 8. The AP government is raring to present a Rs 2-lakh crore budget, a rise of Rs 43,000 crore over last year.
