Two-day Tech Fest kicks off

Visakhapatnam: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) GITAM student chapter organised a two-day national level technical festival ‘NIRVANA2k18’ here on Friday at GITAM campus.

As many as 800 students from several institutions from different states participated in the events and expos. A series of technical and non-technical events, tech expo, art and doodling expo, paper presentations and workshop on mobile hacking by CyberXSecurities are being conducted during the festival.

Iinaugurating the festival, Visakhapatnam Region BSNL Mobile Communications General Manager A Srinivasa Rao insisted on the correct way to use smart technologies essentially for comforts and welfare of society. He explained about the satellite launch for communication system.

Deputy General Manager (Projects) of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant KV Rao briefed on how the invention of semiconductors has revolutionised the field of computers and communications in the past two decades.
