Rammohan Naidu meets Amit Shah
Hyderabad: TDP Lok Sabha member K Rammohan Naidu and AP State Planning Board vice-chairman C Kutumba Rao are understood to have discussed the state bifurcation issues with BJP president Amit Shah in New Delhi on Thursday.
The meeting assumed importance with the TDP MPs getting ready for a showdown with the Centre on March 5 when Parliament would meet after recess for the remainder of the budget session seeking implementation of promises made in the AP Reorganisation Act.
They reportedly discussed mainly issues relating to creation of railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters, setting up of a steel plant in Kadapa, funds that were to be released under special package and bridging the revenue deficit which the state had inherited at the time of bifurcation.
