‘Special budget for unemployed’
Kurnool: Marketing Minister Ch Adinarayana Reddy said that the TD government is planning to introduce special budget for unemployed and payment of monthly allowance for jobless from next year onwards. He made an appeal to the unemployed to reap the benefits of mega job mela.
The Kurnool Municipal Corporation and the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA) have jointly organised a mega job mela at outdoor stadium here on Saturday. The Minister has participated in the mega event. Speaking on the occasion, Adinarayana Reddy said that unemployed should not wait for government jobs as the private companies are also offering better salaries. He exhorted unemployed to join in a job and later try for better opportunities. The Minister stated the DRDA and MEPMA are providing several training programmes.
District Collector S Satyanarayana inspected the interview and selection process after visiting the mega job mela. He also suggested the participants to grab the opportunities. It is very fortunate that the companies have come down to Kurnool to select their desired candidates and the applicants too need not to go elsewhere for interviews, he stated. Around 40 multinational companies like Syam Soft Technologies, Mahindra Home Finance, TATA Company, Sri Ram Life, ICICI, HDFC Life, and Malla Reddy Infra Products have participated in the mela. More than 2,000 unemployed from the district took part in the mega event.
Rajya Sabha member TG Venkatesh, City MLA SV Mohan Reddy, former Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy, District SP Gopinath Jetty, Municipal Corporation Commissioner CB Harinath Reddy, MEPMA Project Director Ramanjaneyulu and others were present.
