Government strives to make state ‘Drone Hub’

Kandukur: A two-day workshop on ‘Drones and Quadcopter’ in association with the Technotran Electronic Solutions, Hyderabad, concluded at Prakasam Engineering College in Kandukur on Saturday.

Addressing the students of ECE and EEE, CEO of Technotran Electronic Solutions R Vikas Reddy said that they have plans to offer training for only 21 batches of students in future to experiment and prepare new drones. He appreciated the management of Prakasam Engineering College for providing the facilities and resources to make workshop more lively and interactive.

Kancharla Srikanth Chowdary, treasurer of Prakasam Engineering College said that the state government was spending a lot of money to make Andhra Pradesh a Drone Hub of the country. He explained the usage of drones by the State and Central governments and in foreign countries and asked the students to learn latest technologies. He promised to conduct more similar workshops in future for the students to help them learn latest technologies along with academics.

The trainers from Technotran Electronic Solutions Kamesh and Mittal, along with HoD of ECE Dr Ravi Kumar, academic in-charge S N Meeravali, associate professor Vijay Chandra and other staff, also participated in the programme.
