Lepakshi ‘cotton mela’

Kakinada: Lepakshi manager Kumar Ratnam said that a 'Heritage Cotton Mela' is being organised here at Lepakshi Handicraft Emporium at Nagamalli Thota Junction. He said the mela began on March 7 and will continue till March 12.
Cotton sarees, Narayanpet sarees, cotton towels, lungis, khadi material, cotton bedsheets, cotton fancy garments, cotton tops, kalamkari prints, Bhagalpur sarees are put on display. He said discount ranging from 10 per cent to 50 per cent is being offered.
He appealed to the people to avail the opportunity to help the artisans. Manager CPV Raju, senior sales assistant Veerababu said the mela is opened on holidays also and entry is free.
