Chandrababu Naidu striving to protect self-respect of AP: MLC
Nellore: MLC and Telugu Desam party district president B Ravichandra has said Ugadi is the festival that indicates very important aspects of respect and disrespect and appealed to the people to support the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for his efforts to safeguard self-respect of the state.
He addressed at a programme organised by the district administration in connection with the Telugu New Year on Sunday, MLC appreciated efforts of the state government conducting the festivities at various levels.
Joint Collector A Md Imtiaz wished fruits of welfare schemes and development programmes would reach the common people. Joint Collector-2 Venkata Subba Reddy said there are predictions that this year would witness good rainfall which would bring cheers to the farming community. CH Poornananda Swamy gave out the impact during the current Telugu Year, Vilambi. Local poets recited their poetry during the event and they were honoured.
Mulugu Vijaya Durga, A Lakshmikanth Babu, Nellore Narayana Babu, SR Current, Kandukuri Chengaiah Achari, Suram Sudhakar, K Sunitha Ravi, V Mohan Janardhan, M K Venkateswarlu, and Govindaraju Subhadra Devi were felicitated on the occasion for their services. Chairman of APCO Polisetty, RDO D Haritha, Project Officer of the ITDA Kamala Kumari, and others were present.
