Srisailam hundi collection swells to 1.45 crore

Kurnool: Donations amounting to more than Rs 1.45 crore were found in the hundis of the Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam here. The collections were counted on Tuesday.
All the hundis in the temple were emptied within 7 days as they were full due to the heavy turnout of devotees during the Ugadi festival. Devotees had deposited Rs 1.45 crore cash, gold weighing 175 gm and 2.45 kg of silver. Besides, 64 US dollars, 10 Malaysian ringgits and one Saudi riyal, said the Temple Executive Officer Narayana Bharath Gupta.
