2 killed, 20 hurt as bus falls into ditch

Tirupati: Tamil Nadu State Road Transport Corporation bus met with an accident on Chandragiri – Renigunta highway near Tirupati in the early hours of Sundaykilling two persons including the driver on the spot. The bus coming from Salem to Tirupati hit the culvert at Patakalva village in Peruru Mandal and fell into a ditch.

It is said that the driver was sleepy and could not control the speeding bus might leading to the accident. Driver Arunachalam and one of the passengers SundaraRajan have died on the spot while about 20 passengers were injured. They were taken to Ruia Hospital for treatment.
