TNSF-YSRCP student wings face-off

-    Student unions raise slogans against each other
-    TNSF members try to burn Vijayasai Reddy’s effigy

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University students belonging to Telugu Nadu Student Federation (TNSF) and YSRCP student union, raised slogans against each other while TNSF members tried to burn the effigy of YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy in front of Andhra University main gate here on Wednesday.

It may be recalled that YSRCP leader Vijayasai Reddy stirred up a hornet’s nest when used derogatory remarks against TDP President and Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu on Tuesday when Naidu compared Vijayasai Reddy with liquor baron Vijaya Mallya which became viral in social media.

The allegations and counter allegations led to fight between the student unions of both the parties. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and took the leaders of the student unions to Three Town police station. Police warned the students and sent them without booking any case against them.

According to police sources, the TNSF students tried to burn the effigy of Vijayasai Reddy, but   the YSRCP student union leaders tried to stop them as a result both had a verbal duel.
