Kurnool: Bharatiya Janata Party MLC Somu Veerraju made some sensational remarks against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

He termed Naidu as Congress party covert and alleged that Naidu held discussions with Sonia Gandhi on several occasions. He is even lending his support to help Congress party win in Karnataka elections.

Veerraju made these allegations during a press conference held at the BJP office in Kurnool on Friday.

He alleged that Naidu finalised an agenda to criticise Modi government as the Centre rejected his request to enhance the Assembly seats from 175 to 225.  He wondered why Naidu who had earlier praised the Prime Minister, was now criticising him.

With the Centre rejecting Naidu’s request, he took a U-turn and joined hands with the Congress. Veerraju alleged that Naidu held secret discussions with Sonia Gandhi on several occasions. The Chief Minister had turned into a covert to the Congress party, the BJP MLC alleged.

Further making allegations, the MLC said that members of a single family were ruling the government in both Telugu speaking States. He said Chandrababu Naidu had totally transformed Andhra Pradesh into a corrupt State.  Instead of decentralising the development works, Naidu has decentralised corruption, Veerraju said.

The MLC said that the Central government is ready to sanction exclusive railway zone to AP and steel plant to Kadapa besides fulfilling other bifurcation promises.  He said that BJP government is ready to release a white paper on the industries sanctioned and funds released to Andhra Pradesh.

On this occasion, the MLC had displayed some video clippings wherein Naidu had praised Modi.

Earlier Veerraju accompanied by former MLA Katasani Ram Bhupal Reddy and BJP State vice-president Kapileeshwaraiah visited Kurnool General Hospital.

During his visit he inspected the equipment at the hospital. He found that some equipments were not functioning at the hospital.
