Interacting with farmers, women and various sections of people during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra in Medikondur in Tadikonda Assembly constituency, which entered 124 day on Friday, Jaganmohan Reddy said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had cheated the farmers in the name of crop loan waiver scheme and added that the corruption was rampant in the TDP government at all levels.

He criticised Chandrababu Naidu for cheating people on all fronts and predicted that the TDP will be defeated in the coming elections.

He reminded that the Chief Minister, who assured Special Category Status (SCS) at the time of elections, changed his stand and termed the special package was better than SCS.

He further said that when all political parties demanding SCS, the latter was also demanding it. Jagan asked how voters will believe Chandrababu Naidu on SCS?

The YSRCP chief said that since beginning, the YSRCP was committed to the SCS and intensifying their agitation for the same.

When the farmers told their problems that they did not get benefit under the crop loan wavier scheme, the YSRCP chief assured that if the YSRCP was voted to power he will extend helping hand to the farmers and give Rs 12,500 per acre financial assistance to farmers every year in May. Jagan also said that he will set up a stabilisation fund with Rs 3,000 crore to get a better price for the crops. A farmer told that he had been making rounds to the tahsildar’s office for pattadar passbook for the last six months but in vain.

He assured that he will increase old age pension scheme to Rs 2,000 per month.
