One more thief held with help of LHMS

 Eluru: The Three town police nabbed a thief with the help of locked house monitoring system (LHMS) at Satrampadu, in Eluru city on Monday. This is the second case to arrest a culprit with the help of LHMS technology in the state.

Speaking to media Eluru DSP K Eswara Rao said that M Murthy, who is working as a clerk in a local court was residing near ITI in Satrampadu area in Eluru city. He along with his family members planned to visit Tirumala and informed the police about his visit to Tirumala. The Three town police have erected the locked house monitoring system (LHMS) on March 29 at his house.  After Sunday midnight, the LHMS has alerted the police control room in Eluru over an unauthorised entry. The control room staff immediately informed the matter to Three town police. The SI A Pydibabu and his men reached the house near ITI. 

When the thief in the house heard the siren of vehicles, he tried to escape from the spot. However, the police arrested him. Police said the accused Sonthi Durga Rao of Machilipatnam was an old criminal and committed thefts in Eluru, Guntur, Vijayawada, Chirala and Machilipatnam areas. The police recovered Rs 1,000 cash from his possession. A case was registered in the Three town police station.
