Vijay Sai Reddy Asks TDP MPS To Quit First
New Delhi: YSR Congress Party senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V Vijay Sai Reddy said that his party members in the Upper House will also quit their posts if TDP MPs from both houses relinquishes posts for special status to Andhra Pradesh.
He said that his YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will only take decision with regard to their resignations from Rajya Sabha.
Participating in candle light rally conducted in support of YSR Congress MPs dharna in New Delhi, he said that centre has the responsibility of implementing the promise made in the Parliament on special status issue.
Vijay Sai Reddy pointed out that 14 th Finance commission never recommend the centre to reject the special status demand as the Commission was not the competent authority. He demanded Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu to explain the reason for supporting special package in lieu of special status announced by the Centre. The YSRCP MP also alleged that the BJP led NDA at the centre and TDP government in the state made Andhra people scapegoat.
