Cash crunch at ATMs in AP due to Karnataka polls, says KE Krishna Murthy

Kurnool: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy said it was unfortunate that the Opposition parties are supporting the BJP-led NDA government which betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh. 

He expressed concern over the BJP leaders threatening those raising voice against the Central government. Addressing a press conference at the TDP office here on Tuesday, he said earlier the Congress had cheated people of Andhra Pradesh and now Modi was betraying people of the State.

He described Modi as “Master of destroying India.” He said people had lost faith in Modi as he had put the common man to suffering through demonetisation.

Murthy said that cash crunch at ATMs in Andhra Pradesh was due to elections in Karnataka. He alleged that the BJP had planned to send the money for Karnataka elections through Kurnool as the district shares border with Karnataka. 

The Deputy CM expressed concern over the reported statement of BJP MLC that as Alipiri type attack may recur against Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Krishna Murthy said that if anything happened to Chandrababu Naidu, the BJP would have to take the responsibility. He alleged that the BJP leaders were trying to create violence in the State. 

Krishna Murthy predicted that the BJP would not win a single seat in 2019 general elections. He advised BJP leaders Modi and Amit Shah to stop deceiving the people of Andhra Pradesh and fulfill the just demands promised to the State.

He also criticised the Prime Minister for his failure to initiate action against bank fraudsters who fled the country. He also flayed Opposition leader Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan for acting as per the directions of Narendra Modi.

Kurnool MLA S V Mohan Reddy, MLC K E Prabhakar, KUDA chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu, former Minister Erasu Pratap Reddy and others were present.
