Subbaraidu takes oath as Kapu Corpn Chairman
Vijayawada: The Kapu Reservation Bill was passed in the Assembly due to the efforts of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, said Minister for Transport K Atchannaidu. Addressing the oath-taking programme of Kapu Corporation Chairman Kottapalli Subbaraidu here on Saturday, he said the Chief Minister was committed to the welfare and development of Kapus in the state. He said the government released Rs 1,000 crore annually for the development of Kapus.
Minister for Energy Kala Venkata Rao said the Telugu Desam introduced various welfare schemes for the development of Kapus. Nearly 500 students were provided financial assistance for education abroad, he said. He also said that the party workers and leaders would get posts, if they wait with commitment.
Newly appointed Kapu Corporation Chairman Kottapalli Subbaraidu said that he would work for successfully implementing the government schemes to Kapus. He also said that he would render justice to his post. Ministers P Pulla Rao, Pitani Satyanarayana, MP Sithamahalakshmi, MLAs Madhava Naidu, Sivarama Raju, AP Kapunaidu founder president Pilla Venkateswara Rao, and several leaders were also present.
