ACB unearths 80cr assets of RTA official

Nellore: Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) personnel conducted raids on Tuesday on the residences of a sub-ordinate employee K Narasimha Reddy who is working in the deputy transport commissioner’s office here. 

Assets worth Rs 80 crore at market value were unearthed in simultaneous raids carried at five places o. One house site in Nellore town, 3.950 acre agriculture land in Gudipalem village near Nellore were identified.

Officials also found G+2 building at MV Agraharam in Nellore, 12.390 acre land in Nellore, 35.300 cents agriculture land at Permana village in Sangam mandal; one kg gold at his residence, one kg gold in locker and Rs 6 lakh cash.  

“Narasimha Reddy has been working as a benami for many senior officials in the department. Though he got a promotion, he had not been shifted to other places. He gives money to senior officials in the department through middle men,’’ said a senior official from the transport department. ACB officials will continue their raids.
