Youngsters arrested for thrashing SI, cops inside police station in Nellore

A sub-inspector and a constable were beaten up inside the Rapuru police station in Nellore district on Wednesday night. According to the reports, some people barged inside the police station and thrashed the cops as they were upset over the sub-inspector calling in three people - Pichchaiah, Lakshmamma, and Kanakamma for questioning based on a complaint filed by one Ravi. He, reportedly beat them up, which angered the relatives and other locals who came into the police station and caused a huge ruckus.

The entire act was caught on mobile phones. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Babu said Sub Inspector Lakshman Rao and three constables suffered injuries and have been admitted to hospital.

Based on the video footage, the cops arrested youngsters responsible for the assault and shifted them to Nellore on Thursday morning.
