Our aim is to make accident-free zone: CI

Kurnool: To curb the road mishaps, the Banaganapalle police have pledged to transform the entire mandal into accident-free zone. With this motive, they launched a massive awareness programme on road accidents.
 
Banaganapalle Circle Inspector P Srinivas speaking to The Hans India said that they are educating people about the value of life and how to protect them from road accidents. He said they are conducting road safety awareness programmes and screening shows on accidents where good number of people gather in evening hours. 

He said bike riders were suggested to wear helmets without fail and warned them of triple, drunk and drive and rash driving. Heavy vehicle drivers are suggested to take rest during odd hours and continue after refreshing. “Our vigorous efforts are reaping yields and we could be able to reduce road accidents to 30 per cent. With people’s support, we could able to achieve zero accidents in February,” he said.
