Ravi’s close associate Chaman passes away
Anantapur: Former Zilla Parishad chairman Chaman Saheb, a close aide of late Paritala Ravindra, passed away here on Monday morning following cardiac arrest. His body is being taken to his native village R Kothapalle village in Ramagiri mandal.
His last rites will be performed on Tuesday noon. Minister Paritala Sunitha rushed to Saveera hospital in the city where Chaman breathed his last. On seeing the lifeless body of Chaman, she fell unconscious.
Chaman was busily engaged in helping the Paritala family in making wedding arrangements to Paritala Sunitha’s daughter's wedding ceremony on Sunday. He was in Venkatapuram village for three days.
According to his family sources, he complained of slight indisposition and was taken to the local Saveera hospital on Monday morning. He suffered cardiac arrest while being treated by the doctors for congestion in heart. He breathed his last immediately after suffering a an attack.
Minister Sunitha rushed to the hospital after learning of illness of Chaman but was shocked to learn that he was no more after reaching the hospital. Chaman was a member of Paritala family and was the right hand of Paritala Ravi when he was alive. Chaman went underground after the assassination of Ravindra and came out of hiding after TDP came to power in 2014 elections.
He returned to his native district Anantapur and contested the local body election and became the ZP chairman. As per a party arrangement, he remained as ZP chief until 2017. He resigned the post on the party’s directive to pave the way for the current chairman Poola Nagaraju to take charge.
